Chicago dungeon – The times they are changing

   I’ve attempted to write this blog now for a month. Starting and stopping numerous times.

It is hard to announce a major change to your life publicly and focus on the clarification of the event. I know this will be the first question many of you will ask, so let’s get it out of the way.

Let me state emphatically : I AM NOT RETIRING. REPEAT – NOT RETIRING!

I am committed to my career and clients. My intent is to continue accepting those both new and experienced that desire to see a mature, skilled Dominatrix with over 30 years of talent. Maturity is hot, after all!

I have been blessed the last 32 years to do what I truly love – live and share a life of fetishism, kink, and BDSM. I will continue to do so.

I have had my own independent fetish exploration studio in Chicago for 32 years. The current studio had its inception in 2008. This year marks the 17th year you have had the pleasure of sharing my beautiful space with me. I loved creating it, sharing it with both my community and industry. It has been the center of so many beginnings and endings.

 

However it is time for a different mode of expression and business. With bitter sweetness, I will be closing my Chicago studio ONLY within the next few months. It was a very hard decision but time for a change.

My Saint Louis dungeon will remain. In Chicago, I will be accepting sessions at the wonderful Apex Media Chicago.

If desire a one hour session or a vibe similar to my heavy bondage front room, I also have the lovely option of Chicago Dungeon rentals.

Like many wonderful Dominatrices including my mentor Suzanna D’Arcy, Friend and owner of fabulous NY Rubber studio, Ariana Chevalier and Wonderful Vinyl Queen – there comes a time when our well-being, quality of life and life balance becomes important.

 

So many community groups and organizations had their events meeting sand parties there. Life-stylers and Professionals were provided with a safe, female owned and focused space with no drama or judgement – the first of its kind in Chicago.

I have been proud to facilitate the local Chicago community and nationwide by hosting so many wonderful educational workshops, from my mentor Suzanne D’Arcy’s last class, Lee Harrington’s weekend, Kink Academy, 7 days of Domination and Mistress Chiaki’s Shibari classes, to name a few.

I have provided a safe home for numerous fellow Prodommes over the years, opening my doors in friendship and education.  There have been many wonderful touring Dommes visit me at my Chicago space, from my work wife Elena De Luca, Vinyl Queen, Irene Boss, Helene Locke, Sky Terrapin, Goddess Nyx and many more.

My space would not have become the welcoming, open space it is without all of you. So many hot scenes, transformative sessions, moving connection within the Studio’s walls. Oh, if the next tenant only knew!

While  the time line can fluctuate, I estimate my current Chicago studio will close for good between November 1st -15th.

I am no longer accepting prodomme rentals for visiting sex workers.

If you are a potential submissive seeking a session with Me and desire to do so in my current studio, do not delay. Now is the time. After it closes, I will be accepting my Professional Domination sessions at the lovely  Apex Media Chicago.

My gear and equipment : Again, let me clarify this before it gets asked: I AM NOT CLOSING DOWN FOR GOOD – THEREFORE I AM KEEPING A GOOD PORTION OF MY GEAR AND DUNGEON FURNITURE. As my Saint Louis space is still open a few pieces and some of the gear from Chicago will go there. Some of it will also be going with me to Apex Media for use in my sessions there. I will still be fully equipped for all our mutual fetishes like heavy bondage, medical fetish, CBT and more.

I have not decided at this point whether or not I will open another public BDSM studio in Chicago. The main reasons I have decided to close my current space are the insane traffic and my current building condition.  If you’ve been to my studio within the last 10 years, you know the condition of the building has deteriorated, especially my leaky ceiling. I have reached the end of my patience with it.

While this is a huge change for Myself and those I sessions with, it will minimize my stress thus allowing me to relax and develop better connections with you when we session. It will be nice to have less stress and focus on our mutual interests instead of managing a space and its issues.

I do not know the emotions it will bring except bittersweet, sad and happy all at once. What I am putting forth here is the factual information of my decision. DUNGEON SALE :

There will be a dungeon sale but it will of gear I want to go to a good home, gear I do not use often or items  that do not fit me. Items will range from dungeon furniture, impact toys, medical fetish items, dungeon supplies, vanilla furniture, shoes, latex clothing and more. Date is October 25th and 26th at this time but I will announce  more details via my social media accounts: X, Fetlife, Facebook and Instagram.  There will be  an industry only sale day on October 25th then Sunday, October 26th will be open to public. The public sale will require a 10$ donation to attend, of which all will be donated to SWOP.

I will also be posting some items for sale via Facebook, Fetlife ,Ebay and Poshmark.

When I walk out the door for the final time, it will be with a sad heart but a full, happy and satisfied one. Knowing I did the best I could to make our kink world a little safer, happier and weirder. I hope you will continue to share in the next chapter of my Domination journey with me at Apex Media for Chicago sessions.
